After the controversial reorganization of how the music charts would be calculated, it was widely assumed (me included) that groups would change their release times to 12 PM instead of 12 AM to match when the new songs could start charting. However, if the altered release times of Nugudan Gugudan and BTOB are any indication, it’ll actually be done at 6 PM KST.
The reason behind that primarily seems to be that 6 PM KST is late enough where many people are already off work or out of school. However, there seems to be questions about how the countdowns and showcases will be done after the change.
Seems like a trend to monitor for now, much like the curiosity surrounding how the charts end up actually reacting after the switch.
