As mentioned previously, AKB48 failed to sell a million singles in a week for the first time in like forever, so out of complete desperation to not lose ground to other groups their appreciation to fans for their 10th anniversary, the group brought back Maeda Atsuko, Oshima Yuko, Shinoda Mariko, and Itano Tomomi. They also have Takahashi Minami on the track, even though her last AKB48 single was supposed to be in December of last year … cause fuck it.

Don’t have anything to say about “Kimi Wa Melody” because it’s a typically basic Japanese idol song, but I just wanted to confirm that AKB48 indeed brought everybody back in order to be a part of a fancy-ass harem for a feudal lord. Then they had Maeda Atsuko and Oshima Yuko kiss because … again, fuck it.

Unfortunately, only the short version of the music video is out there so far, so we’ll have to wait to see if maybe there’s even more of this shameless fanservice in a full music video.
