For reasons that are above my understanding, LISA, Doja Cat, and RAYE were all invited to perform at the 2025 Oscars, but not for anything related to their song “BORN AGAIN” (well, I guess to promote it indirectly?). Rather, they reunited to do a musical tribute to James Bond consisting of “Live And Let Die” by Wings, “Diamonds Are Forever” by Shirley Bassey, and “Skyfall” by Adele.
First and foremost, it’s crazy how an artist that started in K-pop is performing at the 2025 Oscars, which is very cool. That said, uh… I’m not sure this was the best promo, especially following Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo‘s medley, though LISA playing it a bit safe was probably correct compared to what Doja was doing.
