Faves’ Faves is a new show on YouTube by Pixid, where celebs talk about their favorite celebs, thus making the title appropriate. It’s fronted by TXT member Soobin, and in what amounted to a rather genius move the producers, they decided to spring a surprise on him on the debut episode.
Given the nature of the show, it made sense to have the host Soobin start by talking about his faves, KARA. Completely unaware, he talked about them in a classroom setting in front of a group of masked women.
What he didn’t know is one of those women was Gyuri from KARA, the idol who he says got him into the group. And so he went on and on, talking for 20 minutes about his stan journey as Gyuri occasionally prodded him about his bias. Finally, unsatisfied with his dance to “Mister”, she went up to help him out.
The reveal? Gold.
The payoff is absolutely worth it in this case, and really the only problem with subsequent episodes is that they’ll have an uphill battle to beat this debut.
