After Vivi and Hyunjin won their initial contract lawsuit against Blockberry Creative, fans awaited where the pair would end up. Now we have that answer as the pair of signed with a new company called CTD E&M.
According to multiple music industry officials on the 11th, Vivi and Hyunjin, who recently won injunctions to terminate their contracts with former agency Blockberry Creative, have signed exclusive contracts with CTD E&M.
As for the company, it’s an upstart run by a CEO that has previous experience with LOONA.
CTD E&M is a company newly established by CEO Yun Do-yeon, who has spent time at SM Entertainment and participated in the LOONA project while at Blockberry Creative. It is planning to launch the SuperEight project for a new boy group and reveal it later this year.
It’s a bit disappointing for fans who were expecting them to join Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Choerry at Modhaus, as tea leaf readings seemed to indicate they might. However, with Chuu at ATRP anyway, the biggest obstacle to any LOONA reunion is getting out from under Blockberry. After that, anything is possible if the members have any agency within their new companies whatsoever. To that end, the worry is still more about Haseul, Yeojin, Yves, Go Won, and Olivia Hye, who are still with Blockberry.
Either way, it should be interesting to see how Vivi and Hyunjin are used by the company going forward.
