Stray Kids have usually been interesting for their willingness to go outside the box a bit with their sound (especially with stuff like “Side Effects”).
Thus, I was quite hyped about the first 30 seconds or so of “Thunderous”, as it effectively sounded like they were going to serve a lost Drunken Tiger track. Unfortunately, from there is sorta falls back into the recent gen boy group template of bombastic and aggressive without real direction, along with a lumbering and lurching chorus. Oh well.
