For those that just wanted an update on the situation, Kris Wu has now been officially arrested by authorities after previously being detained on suspicion of rape.
Global Times, an English-language Chinese newspaper under the People’s Daily, reported on August 16, “‘Chinese-Canadian pop idol Kris Wu Yi Fan has been arrested on suspicion of rape,’ Beijing’s Chaoyang District prosecutors said in a statement on Monday.”
So that’s the update on the situation.
Though recently I came across this news report on the situation from like a week ago, which feels like a gigantic shitpost or something. I thought it was a parody or joke news, but it’s from something called Zero Time Review. I mean, at least it’s mainly making fun of him and not the allegations.
