The familiar groove of “Bambi” is actually rather nice, and EXO member Baekhyun does a solid job of selling the mood. However, the production doesn’t do him any favors, as both the instrumental and the hook get repetitive in a hurry, with the ending flurry being too little and too late.
It’s a song that aims to thrive on the immersion of the listener, and while I get the double meaning of the title, it comes off as more browbeating than alluring.
