While I’ve been a bit busy over the last couple weeks since the last roundup, there’s been a bunch of major updates on the bullying front.
——
(G)I-DLE’s Soojin: After being called out, Seo Shin Ae stated clearly that she was bullied for two years by Soojin. Another bullying allegation then emerged against Soojin, including testimony that Seo Shin Ae’s statement was true. Additionally, a member of Soojin’s alleged bullying group reportedly apologized to a victim.
A Pink’s Chorong: Play M Entertainment announced they would take legal action for defamation and attempted coercion against a person allegedly threatening her with false claims. Chorong is accused of school violence, with the accuser planning on responding with legal action of their own for false accusation. Plan M reiterated their stance that the claim is false and they would be taking legal action.
The accuser responded that Chorong had changed her story and also released pictures of Chorong drinking underage. Chorong replied by admitting to underage drinking but denying the violence. The accuser then released an alleged transcript of a phone conversation with Chorong where she appears to acknowledge her role in the violence. Play M responded by saying the transcript is partial and distorted, denying that Chorong admitted to violence, saying they have recordings of their own.
SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu: In what they state is their final update, Pledis Entertainment says they got in touch with an accuser, and while they and Mingyu remembered events differently, Mingyu apologized for any unintentional harm and both parties agreed the matter was settled.
The Boyz’s Sunwoo: Was accused of bullying, but the accuser now recants their allegation and apologized, explaining that they believed rumors and repeated them as their experience. Cre.ker Entertainment states they will show leniency.
Shim Eun Woo: Despite initially vaguely denying bullying allegations, the sister of victim pushed back, and Shim Eun Woo then admitted to the bullying and apologized.
