In what seems like quite a ‘Cool Japan‘ move, Koda Kumi has released a cover of “Livin’ La Vida Loca” by Ricky Martin about 20 years after the fact. Why? I have no idea. I’m sure it’s for a cover album or something, but even then, this song?
Credit to her for getting the pronunciation right because there isn’t a bone in my body that didn’t think this was going to be more of a “Ribin’ Ra Bida Roca” cover.
And in a way, I’m sorta disappointing that it wasn’t. Amuro Namie would NEVER.
