Following the death of Johnny Kitagawa, many awkward tributes have been posted, primarily awkward because of the credible accounts of sexual abuse against him. But nothing is weirder than Jin Akanishi‘s tribute song “Johnny“, which is like a love song to his wife except for a predatory CEO.
The only way this could be spun as something decent is if it was actually calling him out for the shit he did, but there’s not much indication that’s what he was going for here.
Jin joined Johnny’s when he was 14, was 17 when he became a KAT-TUN member, then left the group in 2010 and the company in 2014.
