NMIXX members Haewon, Sullyoon, and Bae were guests on DdeunDdeun YouTube channel with Yoo Jae Suk, where they discussed many things, but most prominently to a caffeine addict like me was Haewon’s coffee addiction.
Things weren’t that bad to start, as a few cups of coffee is somewhat normal.
“I’m really into coffee. I drink about three to four cups a day,” Haewon casually mentioned.
Sullyoon then chimed in, revealing, “But she brews it like it’s some kind of herbal medicine.”
Like yeah, okay, sure, idols are probably all at the upper limits of consumption at the very least.
But then came the reveal that she uses eight packs of instant coffee per cup, which left Yoo Jae Suk in shock.
Haewon explained her unique method, “I drink instant coffee, but I use eight packs per cup.”
“Wait, so three cups a day means 3 times 8 … 24 packs?! Shouldn’t the brand be giving you an award for this?” he joked, making everyone burst into laughter.
Haewon continued, “Sometimes I mix it in a 500ml bottle, and people ask if it’s traditional herbal medicine. They really think it is!”
Bae then added, “When we went on our South America tour, one whole section of her suitcase was just filled with instant coffee.”
Let’s say she uses popular Korean brand Maxim‘s original blend … it has 50 mg of caffeine per pack, that’s 1200 mg when the recommended daily limit is 400. If it’s four cups that day instead of three, it’s 1600. But she’s a coffee psycho, so why wouldn’t she get the kind that have like 80 mg per pack? Holy shit, I think Haewon might be pushing the limits of the human body.
Her form has adapted to use coffee in place of mere water like mortal bodies. https://t.co/4DytCcZZwf

As a caffeine druggy degen myself, whenever I push over 400 mg a day for even a few days in a row, my digestive tract rebels on me something awful, and I know that shit (heh) can’t be good for me. If Haewon’s regularly doing three to five times that amount, one has to wonder if it might be healthier for her to mix in some lines, man.

No wonder she’s one of the current variety GOATs (and one of mine) with all her energy. Haewon is wired, baby.
