Bullet Points: Hyeri tanks a pole, Park Bom hiatus, KeyEast gets sold, Lizzy returns, sajaegi sentences, more

It’s been over a month since the last one of these, but I didn’t forget this time! Honestly, there just wasn’t a ton going on for a while there.

Also, this is months old, but I only saw it just recently and I needed everybody else to see Hyeri tanking a pole and continuing to do fanservice anyway*.

*I didn’t edit in those dumbass brainrot sounds, btw.

What a champ.

The mess with Mingyu seemed to be a case of something that was more unprofessional than illegal, basically.

In terms of the sajaegi, to give you an idea of how slow the wheels of justice turn, the CEO admitted this back in 2021, though the case did expand and 10 others were indicted last year (nine of them were punished). I am surprised by this prison time considering crimes that actually harm people (or could) are frequently given less than that. Don’t fuck with the money, I guess.

Queenz Eye impressed me with their efforts in 2023 and subsequently didn’t make a comeback in 2024. Now they’ve lost three more members (four total) and are down to a duo. It’s not hard to understand why fans can be apprehensive about getting invested in groups from lesser-known companies, as a lot of them can’t seem to keep it together.

K-Soul‘s removal comes four months after he was put on hiatus due to the health of his family, and notably he says he learned about PocketDol Studio‘s decision through the Internet. Most fans don’t seem to care much, as he was … uh, a bit weird.

MEENOI is the latest artist to flee AOMG, coming less than a year after a bizarre string of events that led to them having to reconcile. Meanwhile, Duover seems more and more like the do-over of AOMG.

Lizzy returning is interesting given the similarities between her situation and Kim Sae Ron, to the point where the Korean media were comparing them. Obviously not saying what she did is okay, but I’m not sure there’s reason to torment her and shit.

After YG Entertainment closed their acting division, SM Entertainment is basically following suit by jettisoning theirs. Guess the slump in that sector must be worse than expected.

After recently dealing with nerve issues (old), I would rather have the fracture. Kids, don’t fuck with nerves and sit up straight like your parents told you.

——

Fans miss their faves when they’re in the military, but I know they love those pics of them in uniform.

——

Sometimes there are donation amounts from people you haven’t heard from in a while and it just makes you remember how rich they must be.

——

It’s fucking February, man. Too late for K-pop stans to be arguing over popularity awards from last year.

*I should get the D award, amirite? Sorry.

Everybody just assumes the Chanhyuk dating report is true, especially since the one about him and Fromis 9‘s Saerom apparently was. Guess they leaked that breakup recently so that this news wasn’t received weirdly.

I swear, former girl group members are going to repopulate Korea or something.

Bullet Points Ending Theme Of The Day

Back in 2019, George put out “Boat” and its amazing music video. The vibe holds up today more than ever.
