In something out of some kind of personal fever dream, KARA‘s Gyuri, T-ara‘s Eunjung, and Wonder Girls‘ Yubin all met up to talk about their past activities on I’m Gyuri.
At one point, the conversation turned to a competition of which idol had it worse in terms of styling, which eventually led to a truly harrowing reminder.
That’s when Gyuri suggested, “Let’s go around and say the styling that bothered you the most.” While Yubin began looking up photos, Eunjung remained confident that T-ara had the most extreme styles.
Eunjung made everyone laugh by saying, “Let’s see what you got. I’m totally going to win this. You guys got to be human at least.”
The trio continued to argue over which group had the most extreme styling until Eunjung pulled out a photo of herself with cat makeup.
Gyuri and Yubin admitted, “T-ara is the winner,” and asked, “Why did they draw the whiskers like that?” Eunjung elaborated, “They hired the makeup artist from the musical ‘Cats.’ For each cat, they paid good money to do this on us.”
I don’t know whether to be impressed that their company splurged for musical makeup artists that specialized in cats, or horrified that they were in fact very committed to the bit and that this era existed at all.
They also talked about Yubin’s first impression, how they know each other, Gyuri’s hip-hop pride, which first-gen boy groups they liked, compete in guessing songs and choreo, and agree to meet up again (sadly in private).
