X:IN are a five-member group that debuted last year, but honestly wasn’t really on my radar. Perhaps that’s why it’s for the best that their pre-release “My Idol” off their upcoming The Real album definitely catches the attention of the listers, if nothing else.
I just think it’s important we take a step back and recognize how amazing these lyrics are. Truly a work of art.
If it reminds you of anything, it’s those cringe memes from generations past about loving K-pop.
X:IN has now successfully distilled that cringe into song form and blessed the recent generation fans with it, thus letting them experience this for themselves, as they should. Combined with the blatant pandering to hags, it checks off the necessary boxes to go down in history.
