Hyolyn has recently been under fire after she posted a video on Instagram Stories of herself singing along to a song (Doja Cat‘s “Say So“, I think) that included the n-word in its lyrics.

Given how long she’s been in the industry and all that, it’s understandably expected that she wouldn’t be ignorant about this and would know she shouldn’t be saying that under any circumstance. Pretty stupid, really.
In a bit of a surprise in K-pop though, she issued an apology for it soon after.

I guess it’s one of those bar is on the floor situations, but most won’t even do this much, so yeah. Think it’s pretty obvious there was no malicious intent behind it as she was just singing along, but glad she addressed it because it’s an aggressively dumb thing to be doing.
