HyunA and Yong Junhyung (ex-HIGHLIGHT) both posted a picture of them together on their individual Instagrams, and HyunA’s post included a couples emoji and she left a “please watch over us kindly” comment (with another couples emoji), which certainly appeared to be an announcement of a relationship. Their companies have been verifying whether they’re dating for like hours now. Meanwhile, netizens have found evidence that they may have been dating since at least last November.
Regardless, whether they’re dating, working on a collab, or really just friends, it’s messy as hell. HyunA, of course, previously was engaged to DAWN before they broke up at the end of 2022. Meanwhile Yong Junhyung only recently made his return to the entertainment industry after spending three years away following being connected with the larger Burning Sun scandal, having admitted to watching illegal molka videos sent to him by Jung Joon Young and heading off to the military after that was revealed. Needless to say, there’s backlash over this, and it’s one of those rare cases where it’s hard to disagree.

Update
Both companies, AT AREA and BLACK MADE, have responded saying they are not involved in their personal lives.
On January 19, HyunA’s current agency AT AREA responded to the dating rumors by stating simply, “We are not involved with our artist’s personal life.”
Yong Junhyung’s agency BLACK MADE similarly commented, “Because it’s a personal matter, it’s difficult for us to confirm.”
Usually the right approach, but maybe not for something like this.

Yong Junhyung has confirmed that he’s in a relationship with HyunA.
On January the 20th, Yong Junhyung admitted the dating rumors with HyunA through a paid fan community message.
Yong Junhyung said to the fans, “You must have been surprised by the sudden news. We are getting along well and receiving positive energy from each other, so I hope you will watch over us nicely.”
