Himchan (ex-B.A.P) admits to a 3rd sexual assault charge, which involves illegal filming & distribution

I’m honestly not even sure what to say at this point, but former B.A.P member Himchan is in trouble yet again, as further charges have been added to his third (yes, 1-2-3) sexual assault case. In April, word got out that he was being investigated for this third charge, and it’s been revealed that he admitted to sexually assaulting a woman, filming it, and distributing the content. The victim decided not to settle and wants a severe punishment.

On the morning of October 24, the 12th Criminal Division of the Seoul Western District Court proceeded with the trial. Himchan is accused of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Rape and Sexual Violence Crimes. The charges include illicit filming using cameras and committing obscene acts using communication media.
In the courtroom proceedings, Himchan admitted to the charges and announced that they were making an effort to reach a settlement with the victim. In contrast, the victim strongly opposed this approach, demanding that the court sentence severe punishment to Himchan.
The allegations against Himchan involve sexually harassing a woman in Seoul around May of the previous year, unlawfully filming her, and subsequently circulating the photographs.

The court is also merging this third sexual assault case with his ongoing second sexual assault case, which involved two women at a bar. He admitted to those charges earlier this year, and it’s been revealed that he paid settlement fees to them but has not been sentenced yet. He’s also currently serving a 10-month sentence for his first sexual assault charge. Between all that, he also had a drunk driving charge.

Anyway, I really hope they’re merging the cases so they can dole out harsher punishment instead of the opposite where they basically give him like concurrent sentences or something. I dunno, man, if you aren’t going to throw the book at what I can only describe as a serial sexual predator, then I’m not sure when you would. It’d be bad enough if he did all these in the past and was just now getting charged for all of it, but he got caught the first time and then immediately sexually assaulted other women, it’s insane.
