A little over a month ago, former B.A.P member Himchan finally admitted during an appeals trial that he sexually assaulted a woman almost four years ago. However, now it’s being reported that he’s facing two other allegations allegedly committed days after his appeals trial concluded.

A drunk Himchan is said to have harassed two women who were on the stairs outside of a pub in Seoul, and they reported him to police within hours.
The women claimed that it was their first time meeting Himchan, and that the male idol took one of their phones without permission. When asked to return it, Himchan wrapped his hands around the woman’s waist and said: “Let’s go upstairs together”. The other woman, meanwhile, shared: “I felt Himchan’s touch on my chest, so I immediately reacted strongly.”
Himchan’s lawyers refuted the claims, saying that the CCTV footage clears him from the charges, basically explaining that the contact was unavoidable and there wasn’t intent.
As of the moment, Himchan’s legal representative has refuted these claims, saying: “As you can see from the CCTV footage, there was unavoidable physical contact, but there was no sexual intention.” “Himchan was standing on a narrow and steep staircase and another customer opened the stair door and came out, and as a precautionary measure, our client’s hand touched the waist of a woman. We’d like to apologize if such an action had offended the woman, but Himchan did not touch any other woman’s breasts, and the only contact made was for risk prevention purposes. He did not have any sexual intention towards any of the women,” they explained.
The police are reviewing the video from CCTV and are conducting investigations, including taking witness statements.
Since we aren’t privy to the most important evidence in the case, it’s fine to wait for more to come out on this situation. That said, given that we already know he’s capable of doing something like this, it’s hard to blame anybody who doesn’t give him the benefit of the doubt. Furthermore, taking the word of his lawyers (no idea if they’re the same ones) has been a fool’s errand to this point, considering the over three years of denial in the other case saying stuff like he had implied consent.
