SM Entertainment‘s official remixes are almost universally worse than the original, and many are just straight-up fucking terrible. So I was pleasantly surprised by a remix of (EXO) Kai‘s “Peaches” by SUMIN that not only made a lot of sense but generally elevated the effort.
I wasn’t much of a fan of the original due to how sluggish and empty it sounded. For some, that’s a plus for whatever reason, but for me it was just uninteresting and felt more slow than jam. The remix effectively adds the jam element to the track, adding needed emphasis to the core instrumental, especially with the funk and twang subtly transforming the entire song.
