While arrest warrants for Seungri were rejected by the court on two separate occasions, he was nevertheless indicted on charges of soliciting prostitution and overseas gambling recently.
On January 30, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office indicted Seungri, Yang Hyun Suk, and nine other individuals related to the Burning Sun case without detention. Seungri was indicted charges of mediating prostitution services, habitual gambling, and violation of the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act.
While it may confuse many who want him held responsible for his involvement in the molka chat, as has been explained over and over, there’s no legal recourse for him simply being in it and what not. Morally reprehensible, sure, but he was never getting charged for that.
Regardless, should be interesting to see what comes of the legal aspect now.

As mentioned though, there were 10 others indicted as well, including Yang Hyun Suk.
Yang Hyun Suk’s case of habitual gambling was transferred to the Seoul Western District Prosecutors’ Office, which has jurisdiction over the case.
Further charges on others involved in the scandal were also included.
Choi Jong Hoon was indicted without detention for expressing will of bribery. The prosecution requested a summary judgement (a judgment made by the court without a full trial) for Jung Joon Young and four other individuals including former CEO of Yuri Holdings Yoo In Suk. Jung Joon Young was charged for receiving prostitution services, while Yoo In Suk was charged for mediating prostitution for Jung Joon Young and embezzling funds from Yuri Holdings.
Especially for Jung Joon Young and Choi Jong Hoon, those are rather minor charges compared to the six years in prison they’ve already received for crimes like gang rape.
