The good news? Sunny Hill are somehow back and they are not making boring ballads. The bad news? Their comeback song is sorta like a shittier version of a past gem.
Overall I’m actually encouraged by the fact that they didn’t return with the kinds of ballads they did before they went on their hiatus and went back to including a lot of whimsy. But I can’t listen to the comeback and not think of their own “Midnight Circus” and how much better it was.
Either way, if they are bringing this type of sound back and are going to make consistent releases, K-pop can honestly only benefit from it.
