Amaki Sally has recently announced that she’ll be taking a break from handshake events, high touch events, and individual meet and greets due to her ongoing battle with social anxiety disorder.
I’ve been going through it this whole time so it’s not like I’m suddenly a different person after this announcement guys?I just decided to go public but you’ll still see me werk ?? (just not in all the events yet?♀️)Slow & steady wins the race but I’m sitting on the bleachers?✌?

She explained her situation in a blog post that’s worth reading.
I’m not sure how it has been on the Japanese fans side of things, but I think she’s been pretty open about her mental health to international fans, even if it usually came with a touch of humor. Still, the internal battle she describes is relatable to anybody who has had to go through it, and I think she expressed herself perfectly. Anybody who doesn’t understand her situation is a fucking monster.
Obviously hoping for the best and that she can get back to meeting fans eventually on her own terms.
Hopefully I covered this story without sounding too dead inside.
