South Club, the band that Nam Taehyun formed after leaving WINNER, has debuted with “Hug Me” and has brought along an indie tone.
The songwriting is obviously heartfelt, and the melancholy tone is understandable, but this has to mainly be for fans because the music is not anything noteworthy.
I mean I get it, but I doubt anybody would’ve paid much attention to this if it was one of the other dozens of indie artists who have released similar this year. Hopefully they eventually develop their own unique sound after this is out of the way, because this was hardly the most interesting effort in itself.
