Lay of EXO gave an interview recently, and among a bunch of rapid-fire questions he answered, two in particular stood out to me.
Lay definitely gets credit from me for taking the time-honored Asian Junkie position that this mortal world is horrifying and our existence here is punishment, sentenced to a lifetime of living on this hellscape that’s barely shrouded by a superficial facade. Or … something.
Most importantly, and it seems common with Chinese celebs, Lay basically says it can’t be helped that haters will hate and so he won’t even bother trying to stop them.
Seems like a chill dude.
Given the rising popularity of him and the Escape Trio, the thing I can’t wait for most is when they inevitably work on a project together.
