I.O.I were recently on ‘Knowing Bros‘, and netizens were hunting for picked up on something that made Sejeong a dirty sly fox like IU.

After watching the episode, well, it’s clear this was an attempt to start a witch hunt over “personalities”.

Was the prank they pulled off necessary? No. Was it the type of prank I find entertaining? No. Was it a prank that’s been done probably dozens of times over the years in K-pop without anybody freaking out about it? Yes. And that’s how I know this isn’t really a thing netizens are upset about, especially since everybody in I.O.I was in on it anyway.
This seems like a thing directed specifically at Sejeong by antis with the hope that she’ll somehow be dragged down by it, likely in relation to her explosion on the charts with that boring-ass Zico song.
I just honestly don’t see how a reasonable person can watch that and be offended beyond “well that was fucking pointless” before moving on. But whatever, I guess.
