SM Entertainment will now be taking their legal fight against former EXO members Kris, Tao, and Luhan to China, where they’ve filed 14 lawsuits against the trio.
SM Entertainment stated, “Until Korean courts make a ruling about Kris, Luhan, and Tao who have unilaterally filed suits, they are SM artists. Doing activities before the official ruling of a court is illegal. Following the recent lawsuit, we will be taking legal action continously in China as well.” They continued, “China’s National Copyright Administration’s policy, China’s Publishing Association’s pledge, and the Korea and China Copyright Forum’s memorandum of understanding will protect the mind of abiding contracts in light of the important issues of intellectual property rights and contract minds that have been magnified since last year.”
Gonna go out on a limb and say this will impact effectively nothing, but it does give us more potential drama, so I’m all for the mess.
