Despite the music video attempting to give me a seizure at multiple points, Heize‘s collab with DEAN for “Shut Up And Groove” worked surprisingly well and made me want to take the title’s advice.
See, “smooth” and “mellow” tracks don’t all have to be boring coffee house garbage. “Shut Up And Groove” is certainly subdued, but it hits the spot thanks to the upbeat rhythm and quirks like the bass drops, the natural-flowing rap verse, and by just generally having the participants do interesting sounding vocals instead of going with the most bland route possible.
