AKS, AKB48‘s company, is now expanding into three new foreign markets in their quest for Asian domination. The announcement included the groups MNL48 in Manila, Philippines, TPE48 in Taipei, Taiwan, and BNK48 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Not gonna even pretend to know enough about the entertainment markets in these countries to predict whether this is a good idea or not, but I assume AKS has done the research and they’ll be able to carve out at least a solid niche audience.
I guess this is where I rely on the comments to tell me what’s up.
