KAT-TUN is now down to three letters after Taguchi Junnosuke suddenly announced that he would leave the group and Johnny & Associates early next year.
Taguchi made the announcement at a recent year-end music show and the band will continue on, but the departure means the formerly six-man unit is down to three after the earlier departures of Jin Akanishi and Tanaka Koki.
Taguchi left a message for fans explaining the decision.

I mean, I guess why not continue at this point if they also did after losing the other two, but the guy basically said, “Welp, it’s been 10 years and I’ve been looking at my life and I’m not doing this charade for the rest of my life. Outie.“
