I like Pungdeng-E for what they’re trying to do, and their weird and quirky style matches them well. Going with the Crayon Pop-esque concept from the costumes to the guerrilla tactics to trying to make quirky viral songs is smart as well. Thing is, at some point the song has to actually end up catchy, and “PPIPPIPAPPA” wasn’t, at least for me.
Still, I hope this does well because I’d love to continue hearing from them.
