All I can say about SPEED‘s “What U” comeback is that I pray to god, for their sake, that they got a lot of money out of this courtesy of Heelys. Because if not, I just cannot fathom what possessed them to do this.
I’m sorry, but there’s no way I can take this serious. This is unintentional comedy at its highest form, and for such a thing to work, we need to credit SPEED for taking it so goddamn serious. There is not a single hint that this could be seen as tongue-in-cheek, and that’s what makes it so great.
Rolling out as a gang under freeway overpasses? Hell yes. Jumping Heely heel grabs? Fuck yeah. Rapping with maximum fucking swag while ROLLING INTO THE FRAME? Just amazing.
While this is K-pop and thus anything is possible in this unintentional comedy category, I predict there is NOTHING in 2015 that will be as amazing as this. They basically made a 3:43 music video dedicated to ThugRollerblading.gif.
Absolutely nothing will be better all year.

The unfortunate part about this is that the song is actually right up my alley with an orchestral feel to the instrumental and prominent strings, which is great, but I now can’t ever remember this for anything but the music video. Sorry.
