Oh hey, AKB48 made a music video that I actually want to see the full version of with “Bokutachi Wa Tatakawanai“. Why? Mainly cause it’s awesome.
Black Widow AKB48 versus lightsaber-wielding riot cops in a battle brawl? Yes, please. The only problem? Only the goddamn short version is up so far.
Now normally this concept for idols would be awkward and cringy as hell, but the fact that this wasn’t shouldn’t be surprising considering that the music video was directed by Ohtomo Keishi, who guided ‘Rurouni Kenshin‘ to action success.

I get the feeling that AKB48 has the means to make basically every comeback like this, but the fact that they are constantly pushing out releases to take advantage of the way the fanbase is setup really diminishes the amount of quality/effort put into their songs and music videos.
Every once in a while though, they’ll hit gold, and this was one of those times.
