Considering the state of the discourse on NewJeans with regards to the HYBE/ADOR mess (at least internationally), it was quite surprising and also amusing to see BTS member Jungkook appear to deliver a supportive message to the girls from his dog’s Instagram account.
With either just the message or the colored hearts in the order of NewJeans’ colors alone, I may have just chalked it up to coincidence or intended for another group, but it’s hard for me to see this as anything other than a “don’t hate NewJeans” message.
I know that’s what most people think it is as well because of the amount of people already losing their minds about it. If nothing else it’s an entertaining reprieve in covering this messy saga.

Jungkook later followed that up with another post that was likely about NewJeans.
When asked about the posts later, BIGHIT MUSIC stated that they’re legit.
BIGHIT MUSIC stated that after checking with Jungkook, “We have confirmed that he made the posts because he thought that under no circumstances should young artists be dragged into conflicts or used as a shield.”
With regards to the exact intent of the post, Yonhap News says BIGHIT refused to answer whether Jungkook himself used the word “shield”.
[BIGHIT’s] explanation seemed to be aimed at former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin. However, the agency avoided answering whether the word ‘shield’ was directly used by Jungkook himself.
Oh boy.
