Honey Popcorn recently made their Korean debut with “Bibidi Babidi Boo” (which turned out quite well), but they were predictably met with resistance, which hilariously included a Blue House petition that garnered tens of thousands of signatures.
The pinnacle of concern trolling is citing the Me Too movement while campaigning to prevent women from pursuing a specific career on the grounds that they’ll be subjected to sexual harassment. Shout out to the won’t-somebody-please-think-of-the-children lede as well.
Would’ve preferred if the person who started this thing was just honest about it and named the petition, “Please ban these Japanese whores from Korea.“
